Interest in filtration systems for improving air quality has grown in recent times This is particularly relevant in passenger cabins in automotive applications where air is often re circulated and the overall air quality can be poor for overall health. One of the methods for filtering the air is to negatively charge the air particles to a high potential. This webinar provides some insight into the challenges in designing a modern switch mode converter for automotive applications capable of boosting a 12V battery voltage to – 7KV. The webinar will present the basic operation of the converter showing screen captures of oscilloscope traces and will show results from several prototypes. The webinar will also go through some of the challenges in ensuring that conducted and radiated emissions are compliant with automotive standards.
