A panel discussion that will feature the use of blockchain technology in textiles: How much do we know about the clothes we wear? Were the people who made them treated fairly? And were they produced without damaging the environment? Now, you’re probably thinking “what does IT and politics have to do with textiles?” A whole lot, that’s for sure – Kaya&Kato and IBM are developing a textile transparent supply chain documentation platform with the support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. The panel discussion will focus on how and why the three unlikely partners chose to collaborate and how it’s helping to make the fashion and textile industry more sustainable.
