Executive Creative Director
Silvia Talmon was born in 1975 in Cologne.
She ist an Executive Creative Director for Interior and Retail Design, Retail Strategy and concept development at the point of sale.
She trained as a visual marketing specialist and attended the ISBC BusinessCollege in Delft with a focus on retail and interior design.
1993 - 2001 she was employed by IKEA Germany and IKEA International. Among other things, as part of the Inter Ikea Systems expansion team, she assisted with store openings in 15 different countries, including Russia, China, Israel and Portugal. Her tasks included the development and implementation of store openings in the field of visual merchandising, sales strategies up to training and education programs for local staff.
2001 - 2003 Silvia Talmon, as Senior Country Visual Merchandiser of Germany, moved to Ikea Germany headquarters and developed sales strategies for 40 stores.
In 2004 Silvia Talmon founded The Store Designers in Cologne, Germany, focusing on retail consulting, retail design and interior design.
The Store Designers advises clients such as IKEA, REWE, Fraport, WMF, Porsche, Hugo Boss, Daimler, among others, on the development of strategic sales concepts as well as the market launch of new product ranges.
In 2014 followed the founding of the Retail Academy as an independent educational institution with the
focus on training and further education, management consulting up to the foundation of the study program "B.A. Retail Management" in cooperation with the Rheinische Fachhochschule Cologne.
In 2019, both brands The Store Designers and The Retail Academy merged to form The Retail Experience GmbH, based in Cologne.
