Philipp J. Thyben

Chief Operating Officer, start-up founder and process optimizer. He got to know his co-founder Thomas Kircheis during his studies of industrial engineering at KIT. Before starting PULPO WMS, Philipp managed the operational business of the Allers Group, a wholesaler of medical devices. Here, he initiated and managed several projects to optimize business processes, among others with a focus on e-commerce, call center management, sales force automation and especially warehouse management. The team was initially on the buying side of a WMS solution and gained experience in benchmarking them. Subsequently, an on-premise WMS based on an open source solution was developed and also distributed. The benchmark in particular led to their vision to redefine how a WMS should be made available to a wider market, with a faster onboarding process and easier operation for warehouse staff.
