Dr. Claus Beringer
Head of ITS Digital Labs
Dr. Claus Beringer is Head of the ITS Digital Labs at Siemens Mobility Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS). This unit combines deep expertise in data analytics & artificial intelligence with traffic & fleet management. It comprises setups in the three major mobility markets Europe (Munich), USA (Austin) and South East Asia (Singapore). The teams develop innovative and scalable AI-driven applications and services to solve traffic- and mobility-related challenges of smart cities. Therefore they follow a co-creation rapid prototyping approach together with lead customers. Prior to his current responsibilities Claus has been responsible for the Self-Driving Vehicles program at Siemens ITS as well as the global business of Vehicle2Infrastructure connectivity. Claus worked as a strategy consultant in many international projects and as developer & system architect in a medium-sized IT firm. He studied computer science and business administration at TU Darmstadt and the University of British Columbia. He holds a Dr. degree from TU Berlin in the field of innovation management. Claus is married and has three children.
