Edward Snowden is the most famous whistleblower in the world. He studied information technology and ended up working as a security specialist for the NSA. From 2005 he was a technician for the CIA, where he was responsible for IT security. Because he did not want to live in a world where everything he did and said would be recorded, in 2013 he leaked secret NSA documents, thereby launching the biggest covert surveillance scandal in history and making important classified information available to the public. On 10 November at 3:30 p.m. Snowden will be speaking at Hypermotion 2020 about the topic of ‘Data protection in mobility and logistics after the coronavirus – what comes next for infrastructure in terms of data protection.
