Mme. Barbara Coignet

Barbara Coignet </b>is the founder of 1.618 Paris, an organization promoting a new luxury defined by beauty, innovation, emotion, creativity and sustainability.</span>   Barbara Coignet began her career in communications and PR 20 years ago. After a first experience at Lanvin, she co-creates the BMCS agency, specialized in Fashion, Art and Culture. She worked closely with a number of celebrated artists and fashion brands in France including Antonio Marras, Osklen, Muji, Valentine Gauthier, Korean designer Lee Young Lee or Peter Lindbergh.   In 2009, she founded 1.618 Paris, the first agency that promotes sustainable luxury brands and guide them to build valuable images as well as strong communication stratégies. Nevertheless, 1.618 embraces and becomes a leader of sustainaibility in the luxury sector, organizing the 1.618 Sustainable Luxury event in Paris.   The organization was born from her passion for the mutations in society, the real beauty and her belief that luxury and sustainable development were not only compatible but co-dependent entities. Her determination to be the storyteller behind sustainable luxury brands has allowed 1.618 to become an important resource for both professionals and consumers in search of products and services that are luxurious, transparent and engaged. She has also developed a unique series of interviews which propose to pioneers to answer the question: “what does luxury means for you?” helping to show that the  new luxury today means values, sustainability, creation, innovation, experiences, emotions.   Her vision and approach has been recognized by the industry and the media via numerous awards, articles and she was recently named as one of the top 100 pioneers in France who are changing the world.
