Dr. Vivek Tandon is an experienced international entrepreneur with an extensive background in growing technology companies.
He is the Founder and CEO of perPETual Global Technologies Limited, a company with a breakthrough technology enabling the reverse engineering of used plastic bottles into sustainable ester which can in-turn be used to produce high quality filament textile yarns, BOPET film, packaging and bottles.
Prior to perPETual, he was the Founder of Aloe Private Equity, an international private equity group investing in environmental companies, with a focus on India, China, and South East Asia.
Vivek is currently the Vice Chairman of Allied Technology Group (a German based environmental company) and Board Member of EnvironCOM (UK’s largest Waste Electronic Recycler).
He has held several Board Seats in the past, including Director of Greenko Group (a Renewable Energy company in India), and Recupyl (a battery recycling company).
During his career Vivek co-founded several technology companies and held several senior executive management positions in Viventures, UK, (a USD$700m Venture Capital Fund), CIENA, Kymata, British Telecommunications PLC, and Motorola.
In addition to a strong interest in the environment and social sustainability, Vivek has a personal passion for development and social justice in Africa. When he finds time, he is an avid squash player.
Vivek has a PhD from University College, London, and a BSc in Physics from Imperial College. He has published numerous papers and has several patents.
