Protective clothing materials for working with handheld ultra-high pressure water jet guns
In many applications
handheld water jet guns replace sandblasting as cost-effective and
environmentally friendly alternative.
In addition, the waterjet technology offers new solutions for cleaning surfaces in difficult or confined spaces, where sandblasting is practically impossible.
In the lecture, results of development of a new protective clothing material (combination of knits and nonwovens) will be presented. Furthermore, a concept for a suitable test method for determining the resistance of the protective clothing textile against high-pressure water jets under real conditions was to be worked out.
