Françoise Adler studied musical theatre and stage dance for two years each at Arts Educational Schools in London. After obtaining her diploma in stage dance, she joined diverse ballet companies in Europe. In 2000, Adler returned to Switzerland, where she studied product and industrial design with a focus on textile design at Hochschule Luzern - Design & Kunst. For her diploma thesis titled Les rêves de Geneviève, she was awarded the zeugindesign-Preis in 2005 and nominated for the Annabelle Award presented as part of the Stella Contemporary Fashion Award 05. In 2007, Adler took up a research position at CC Products & Textiles at Hochschule Luzern – Design & Kunst and for two years headed the Digital Design & Management master degree programme for secondary education. The focus of Adler’s research is design and technology. Her area of interest is drafting in digital 3D and the resultant new processes. Adler currently is working on her PhD on textiles and sustainability at Kunstuniversität Linz.
