543698

The development of the sharing economy, the internet of things, big data, automation and robotics are causing profound socio-cultural and economic upheavals. But do they make our lives easier or more complicated in the long term?
Today, consumers are faced with an ever greater choice of what products they buy, what information they consume and how they want to shape their professional and private lives. This requires more and more decisions have to be taken, which people find difficult and which creates new social subgroups with different interests, behaviors and value systems. At the same time, networked advice should provide information and support decisions and thus make life easier in many ways.
The session will look at current trends and discuss how they can affect future lifestyles and mobility decisions. Presentations will highlight the state of the art in consumer and behavioural research as well as strategies and responses of the transport industry. It will discuss aspects such as decision-making processes, Nudging, drivers and obstacles to the choice of modes of transport, user-based information and services or smart regions.
In a final panel discussion with representatives of the three sessions of the Fraunhofer Mobility Infusion and the audience, the implications of technological trends, Big & Smart data and the user will be discussed.
